It is designed to educate the most qualified candidates and ensure a smooth transition to Cambridge AS&A Level Mathematics. Complementary mathematics is a mathematical qualification usually taken by high school students (as participants in the GCSE in the United Kingdom). It is used in a variety of problems that we encounter in a variety of formats and broader content in standard math at the same level.
Cambridge IGCSE Additional Mathematics is for students who want to improve and refine in mathematics - usually students who are likely to achieve grades A * to B in Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics as an equivalent. It is only available at a high level and applies to classes A * to E.
It enables students to extend the mathematical skills, knowledge and understanding developed in the Cambridge IGCSE mathematics course and to apply this skill in the context of more advanced techniques. The content of the syllabus focuses on pure mathematics, which provides students with an excellent foundation for mathematics at level A, Cambridge Pre-U and beyond.
